My daughter was a spunky, beautiful, loving, sassy 9 yr old. On September 2nd of 2017, she was out playing and a branch came down from a tree and fell on her head and knocked her down. She suffered from severe head trauma. She was rushed to the hospital where she under went a craniotomy to stop the bleeding and was transferred to Pittsburgh.
After a week of waiting for her to be stable enough to go through an MRI, we received news that it was the worst head trauma that they ever seen and that she will probably not pull through but if she did, she would be a quadraplegic from neck down, she would not speak or move. She would have no quality of life. We made the painful decision to take her off life support and right away we decided to donate her organs to help others in need. This is why I wanted to start this non-profit. I want to be able to help others in the same situation.
